Terms of Service

Last updated: January 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tajima Law website at tajimalaw.com and any related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service or submitting a case review request, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Tajima Law Is — and Is Not

Tajima Law is a legal information and attorney-connection service. Tajima Law is not a law firm, does not practice law, and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation. Nothing on this site is a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney about your specific circumstances.

Using the Service, submitting a form, or communicating with Tajima Law does not create an attorney-client relationship with Tajima Law. An attorney-client relationship is formed only if and when you and an independent attorney separately agree to it, normally in a written engagement agreement.

2. Independent Attorneys

Attorneys in our network are independent practitioners and firms. They are not employees, partners, or agents of Tajima Law. Each attorney is solely responsible for their own licensing, professional conduct, advice, fees, and the outcome of any matter they handle. Tajima Law does not supervise, direct, guarantee, or warrant the services, availability, or results of any attorney.

A referral or introduction is not an endorsement or a recommendation that a particular attorney is the best choice for you. You are responsible for evaluating any attorney, including their licensing status and fee terms, before engaging them.

3. No Legal Advice; General Information Only

Guides, articles, and other content on the Service are general educational information. Laws differ by state and change over time, and the application of law depends on the specific facts of a situation. Content may not be current or applicable to you. Do not act or refrain from acting based on this content without consulting a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

4. Eligibility and Your Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You agree to provide accurate and complete information in any form you submit, to keep your contact information current, and to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to submit information about another person without their permission, to interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service, or to use automated means to scrape or collect content.

5. Case Review Requests

Submitting a case review request does not guarantee that you will be contacted, matched with an attorney, or that any attorney will accept your matter. Attorney availability varies by location, practice area, and the nature of the matter. Time limits such as statutes of limitations may apply to legal claims; Tajima Law is not responsible for monitoring, calculating, or preserving any deadline that applies to you.

Using the Service is free to you. Any fees for legal services are arranged directly between you and the independent attorney you choose to work with and should be disclosed to you in advance by that attorney.

6. SMS and Text Messaging Program Terms

Consent to receive text messages is optional. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service, and you may use the Service and request a case review without agreeing to receive texts.

If you check the applicable box and provide your mobile number, you give your express consent to receive recurring automated service updates and account notification texts to that number from Tajima Law. If you separately consent to marketing communications, you may also receive promotional messages.

  • Message frequency: msg frequency varies based on your activity and the status of your request.
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply. Tajima Law does not charge for messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
  • Opting out: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You may receive a single confirmation message after opting out.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message for assistance, or email info@tajimalaw.com.
  • Carriers: supported carriers may change, and wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your number: your mobile number and text messaging consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own purposes.
  • Number changes: notify us if your mobile number changes or is reassigned so we can stop messaging a number you no longer control.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its content, including text, graphics, layout, and the Tajima Law name and marks, are owned by Tajima Law or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute content commercially without written permission.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to third-party websites or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Visiting a third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is complete or current.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tajima Law and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities, arising from or related to your use of the Service or any interaction with an attorney introduced through the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tajima Law from claims, damages, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your submission of information you were not authorized to provide.

13. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service and may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect when posted, and the "last updated" date above will change. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida, and you consent to that venue.
